Hi Vince – I am a friend of Dave Walker and I live in San Antonio. He told me that you were here and about your son. I would love to extend a hand of friendship and see if there’s anything I can do to help. My cell is 210-602-2111- I am tied up tomorrow afternoon and all day Wednesday with a sales seminar at work (I work at a radio station near the Medical Center off Fredricksberg Rd) . We could touch base tomorrow before noon or after 6. It sounds like Shade is making some great progress – Thank-God. My prayers are with you and your family and I hope that Shade makes a full recovery. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with while you are here.
    Best wishes, Mary Lanoue- Gers

We, the Diaz Family, are truly touched by all that has transpired in the last few weeks. My sons attend summer BLAST camp with your outstanding sons. Including Mayan’s unofficial twin, Phillip. We are praying for a full recovery for Shade and peace for your family. We enjoy reading about his progress every day. Matthew has even made an app on his i-phone to read about his friend. Tell Shade we said “Hello” and we can’t wait to see the return of Mayan, The Super Dancer at BLAST!

    Aloha Vince and family,

Thank you for keeping us updated on Shade’s continued recovery. You are ALL in our daily prayers. We converse with Ty and Larry regularly to see how things are progressing. So glad to know about your Blog and read your own words steeped in truth and laced with humor.

What a challenge this is for Shade and everyone in your family as well as friends who hold you near and dear to our hearts. We surround you with arms of love … may they lift you up when the family is exhausted and in need of additional support. Shade is a quiet inspiration and catalyst helping us all to wake-up as he does to be more Present in our lives and count our blessings with each breath we breathe.

“I want to lay down in the “shade” of the truth
I want to find the peace that only that can do…..”
(a lyric from one of Tom’s songs entitled: Forgive Myself)

Keep the faith (as I know you will) in addition to your wonderful sense-of-humor bringing comfort and relief as you find your way through the maze of this unknown journey of discovery led by the light of Shade’s soul. We are with you as Kindred Spirits every step of the way in the “Shade of the Truth” and in the “LIght of his Recovery.”

    Sending much Aloha your way,

    Hi Vince

Hello from sunny (I wish!!) England. We have heard about Shade through e mail from Amy and wanted to send you all our best wishes and let you know you are in our thoughts.

We haven’t met for so many years – the last time I remember seeing you was when you were a very cute little boy and we came to stay with your Grandad (Bill) and Grandmother (Maud). I was 18 at the time and am now a grandma myself to two and another due today! I have a feeling you came to England with your mum and came to see my mum (Auntie Doreen) and I met you again fleetingly then.

We have been reading about Shade’s progress and hope that it will not be long before everything returns to normal for you all. Your writing is fantastic and would make a brilliant book to give hope to others. I wish we were nearer and able to help in other ways but we will send a donation to help towards costs. I wish it could be more.

Please give my love to your Dad. I am sure your mum is there looking after you all. I have so many happy memories of you all. At the time I visited you in Florida your mum asked me to stay and child mind you and Darren! I often wonder what my life would have been like if I had done so!

With much love from your family here.

    Sue xxxxxx

Hello Sue, Congrats on your new grandbaby and the others of course. I barely recall seeing you at Auntie Doreen’s as I was an annoying teenager then and I distinctly remember deciding to take a nap on the couch during the whole visit. I wasn’t very good company. Great hearing from you and thanks for the positive thoughts.

    Dearest Crampton Family,
My thoughts and prayers go out to each of you. I have reached out to our friends and families to share Shades story to others. During the past year OARS has supported both Katie and I during some difficult times, they are a wonderful organization to have in uncertain times.

I have had the pleasure of getting to know Darren and Selina through amazing friends here in Orlando. What a handsome son you have!!! He actually reminds me of my 8 year old Greyson and I wonder sitting here thinking what if this was my son? And the tears start to fall. Your online journal that shares the love of all of your family, friends and Shade’s medical updates is simply beautiful and amazing. I hope this touches many families today who may have a Shade and take the experiences your family has been so kind to share to get them through the toughest hours. I believe in life we are given situations that shake the core of our belief systems. I believe in life we are given the strength to affirm our belief systems. What I can see and hear very clearly is how your belief systems are intact!!! This is what will get you through the toughest and darkest hours. I will post on facebook, email business associates, what ever it takes to help and raise money to help your family. How beautiful that a community all come together when we must do so!!! May the blessings continue to fill your families lives and Shade continue to get better in the hours and days to come. Positive energy coming your way and I will watch everyday!!!!
    Sincerely, Glenda

    Hey Vince,

It is JB Ryan from the Apache tribe. My wife had Gall stones and used a homeopathic remedy that made them disappear. Not kidding here. Send me your email and I will be happy to forward the info.
